Just a update !! Took car in they have run a full diagnostic check and found the following 1/ EPC Light and Emission light faulty turbo actuator new turbo required !! 2/ stop start fault traced to faulty brake light new light unit required they have also found a fault on sat nav which I have had no problems with and that is been replaced All parts on order should be ready Thursday I good job I
It was a desynchronization of the oil level sensor that becomes inactive when the engine pass 4000 rpm and the pump increase the oil pressure. The oil consumption problem appeared for not more that 5000 km and disappeared after the oil pump has been changed. Edited 19 January, 2013 by safari hunter.
